- National Grid runs 'Safer Home' week

National Grid in the UK is running 'Safer Homes' Week after a safety survey revealed that less than one per cent of people know who to call if there is a gas leak in their home.
Safer Homes Week, which began on 17th November aims to raise awareness of accident prevention in the home and has the support of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

National Grid US has scored 100% in the seventh annual Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index.
The index provides an in-depth analysis and rating of large U.S. employers and their policies and practices pertinent to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.
Of the 584 US companies rated by the survey, 260 scored 100%. The average score was 83%.
